Lally Ready for Richmond in TRG Interstate Moving Services Ford

Mooresville, NC, (April 26, 2011) - Andy Lally is ready for this weekend's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Crown Royal presents the Matthew and Daniel Hansen 400 in the TRG Motorsports No. 71 Interstate Moving Services Ford Fusion to be run at Richmond International Raceway (RIR) Saturday, April 30.

Following a relaxing weekend consisting of competing in a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) tournament on Saturday and sky diving on Sunday, Lally is ready to take on the three-quarter mile D-shaped Richmond oval for the first time.  As a first timer at the tough short track, Lally is busy doing his homework.

"I had a very fun weekend," Lally said.  "I competed in four different classes, got worked over in two of them, finished third in another and actually won the Men's Intermediate Masters class, 30 and over, with a guillotine choke from the guard!  I learned a lot in the MMA tournament and what I need to focus on for future matches."

Lally used the off weekend for maximum contact, getting ready for his first ever run at RIR.

"I've seen many races from Richmond and have been studying video of both in-car cameras and qualifying coverage," Lally said.  "The racing there is always good and often a little rough. It's such a small place that you really have to be on it all the time or you are just going to continue to get run over by the leaders."

Team owner Kevin Buckler used the much needed weekend off to have the team catch up on preparing a few more new Ford Fusion race cars for the coming stretch of races.

"We really needed the weekend off," Buckler said.  "The guys in the shop needed those extra days to get a few more cars together for the coming races.  We were able to get some breathing room in the shop, but still have some work to do.  Richmond is going to be a challenge for Andy.  It is a tough track and he will be making his first laps there on Friday.  We will lean on Doug's (Richert, crew chief) experience with the track and car set-up to give us a good baseline for this weekend.  We are going into Richmond with a really good car and a lot of momentum from Talladega, we plan to run well."

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series resumes this weekend at Richmond International Raceway for the Crown Royal 400 to be run, Saturday, April 30.  Qualifying can be viewed on the SPEED Channel starting at 5:30 p.m. ET Friday.  The race will be televised on FOX starting at 7:30 p.m. with the pre-race show at 7:00 p.m.  Race coverage can be heard on affiliated Motor Racing Network (MRN) stations and Sirius XM Satellite NASCAR Radio 128.
