Duncan Ende Returns to Team with Andy Lally and TRG for Elkhart Lake
Petaluma, CA (August 18, 2010)- With a strong placement in both the team
and driver's standings of the GTC category of the American Le Mans
Series presented by Tequila Patron, TRG is proud to welcome the return of
Duncan Ende to this weekend's fight at the famed Road America
course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
Ende, now in his fourth year with TRG, will join veteran Andy Lally in
the no. 63 Freescale Semiconductor/Future Electronics/Green Hills
Software/LifeStudio by Hitachi/Racer's Roast Coffee Porsche 911 GT3
Cup car. TRG's regular driver, Henri Richard, will unfortunately
miss this weekend's round due to a schedule
conflict, but will
return for next weekend's penultimate round in Mosport.
Having won at Road America twice before in the IMSA Lites category, Ende
looks forward to re-teaming with Andy and all of the guys at TRG.
"I really look forward to returning to TRG at this weekend's
Road America round," stated the Los Angeles native.
"I've won here before, and it truly is one of the best
circuits out there for this type of racing. I have to thank Henri for
helping me with this opportunity, with Andy and the guys I know we have a
great shot, I look forward to seeing how it turns out."
For Andy Lally, having missed the last round due to his participation in
the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, a return to familiar ground presents
another opportunity to win.
"Last time I was with the guys, we took a big victory, and
there's no reason we can't do it again," stated Lally.
"Henri has been a great teammate and it's a shame he
couldn't make it this weekend, but we couldn't have a better
driver than Duncan to fill his shoes. With Duncan leading off and all of
the guys back to support us, it's going to be a great fight to the
finish."
With Ende back in the fray, as well as for the final round at Petit Le
Mans, Team Owner Kevin Buckler is proud to see Ende flourish as a product
of TRG's development system.
"Duncan has been with TRG since 2007, and it's really
impressive to see how far his driving has come," stated Buckler.
"In three years we've seen him go from gaining speed, to
earning his first pole position, to winning his first race, to the team
leader he's become today. Between Duncan and Andy we have a
dynamite lineup this weekend, and it's going to be one heck of a
run. It's a shame we'll miss our good friend Henri, as his
ability behind the wheel as well as his team leadership is always
welcome, but we'll carry the colors proudly for him and all of our
sponsors."
