Lally Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup at New Hampshire

Andy Lally will race the in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driving the #71 TRG Motorsports Chevrolet this weekend at New Hampshire International Raceway.

The last minute change of plans has Lally up in Charlotte working with Crew Chief Dan Stillman and the rest of the team to get up to speed with everything as much as possible before heading up to New Hampshire. "This is obviously going to be a big challenge" said Lally. "I am just going to try and feel things out and make the weekend as productive as I can. Without ever racing a COT on an oval before I will obviously be behind the curve a bit to say the least but my goal is to just try and stay out of trouble and not interrupt anyone else's weekend. I know there are guys focusing on the Chase and I will pay extra attention to that."

Future plans for additional races are still being worked out.


Lally made his NASCAR Sprint Cup debut last August at Watkins Glen and surprised many in the garage with a 15th place qualifying effort.

The race will air live on TNT starting at noon on Sunday. Practice and qualifying will be live on SPEED.

    Congratulations on the NASCAR ride for New Hampshire! Hope to see the #71 running strong. Also hope to see you back for more Sprint Cup races. PS it was weird seeing you in a Mazda and a Kia all last weekend at Mid-Ohio!
