Andy Lally will start 40th for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

This will be Lally's first Sprint Cup race of 2010 and first ever on an oval after making his debut last year at Watkins Glen. "This has been a crazy couple of days" said Lally, "Ive got to thank my crew for really being patient with me. I got 34 laps of practice before qualifying and at 30 seconds a lap that equates to 17 minutes of actual driving time before I was going to go up against the best stock car racers in the world as well as many of my heroes. I honestly figured we would be last by a long shot but just the fact that we out qualified 4 other guys says a lot for what teamwork can. My crew really rallied behind me to try and help get me up to speed in a short amount of time. I was also able to get some tips from a buddy, Brendan Gaughan helped me with some pointers before practice and it paid off. Even though we are just start and parking im still really looking forward to tomorrow and getting some more experience."

Coverage of the race starts at Noon EST on Sunday on TNT. Green flag at 1pm.
